Full Moon: Sunday, July 2nd : Vedic Astrology Forecast

This Sunday’s Full Moon is one of the most auspicious in the Vedic calendar. It is occurring in the heart of Sidereal Sagittarius and is known as Guru Poornima. In Sanskrit, ‘Gu’ means darkness or ignorance and ‘Ru’ means remover. A Guru is a divine teacher or guide that helps us to remove the constrictions in our minds and hearts. It’s a special time to honor and remember our teachers and guides in this life.

To truly benefit from the presence of a teacher or a teaching in our lives, we need to have a certain amount of humility and receptivity. Open our ears.

This is the higher lesson of Jupiter, the ruling planet of the field of Sagittarius. Jupiter represents our philosophies, higher values, and our gurus, as well as OUR teaching and guiding capacity. Humility is the sign of a true teacher.

A healthy Jupiter allows us to see the bigger picture and the unity in all things. He allows us to guide others with compassion.

If these qualities don’t come naturally to you now, it is okay. We all have our points of ease and points of constriction within. When we decide to observe our inner reactions to things then we can slowly disentangle ourselves from our lack of listening to the flow of divine lessons in our life. It also requires humility to be a true student of life.

To all of my teachers, WOW! My heart swells with gratitude for you.

“You will see the Light, if you aspire for it. Yearn for it with all your Heart.”
-Sri Anandamayi Maa
